In love with sweet potatoes? Add them to your energy balls. These secret ingredient energy balls taste like heaven. Containing some of the best superfoods in the world (> sweet potatoes, raw cacao & coconut oil) they are the perfect healthy snack before or after your workout!

 

 

SECRET INGREDIENT ENERGY BALLS

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1 cup of rolled oats (glutenfree)

  • 1 over ripe mashed banana

  • 1 oven baked sweet potatoe

  • 5 Medjool dates

  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened nut butter (I used peanut butter)

  • 1/2 cup of raw cacao powder

  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

 

HOW TO MAKE IT:

 

Preheat the oven to 180 degree. Peel sweet potatoe and cut into small pieces. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven.

 

While the potatoes are baking, combine remaining ingredients in a blender until smooth. Mash sweet potatoe with a fork and mix into the batter. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and let cool down for 30 minutes in the fridge. Form with your hands into small balls and enjoy :) Balls can be stored in the fridge for 1 week or in the freezer up to 4 weeks.
